First Quiz Inside the house - Results Unveiled: Tenants' Top Priorities for Ideal Living Spaces.

In a groundbreaking effort to elevate housing conditions and enhance the lifestyle of Nunavik residents, the Kativik Municipal Housing Bureau (KMHB) recently launched its innovative initiative "Well at Home", highlighting its precious partnership with Makivvik. With a focus on tenant engagement and community feedback, this initiative seeks to involve tenants in shaping the future of housing in the region. The first quiz, aimed at gathering tenants' opinions and preferences, has concluded, and the results are in, paving the way for transformative changes.

Over 100 participants eagerly contributed to the quiz, expressing their aspirations for improved living spaces. The insights gained from the survey have illuminated key areas for improvement and shed light on the desires of Nunavimmiut.

1. Bedroom Space: A staggering 60% of participants yearn for more substantial bedrooms, more precisely the need for private spaces that offer comfort and relaxation.

2. Walk-in Closets: 54% of respondents expressed their wish to have a walk-in closet, a feature that could provide better organization and storage possibilities.

3. Bathroom Upgrades: A deeper bath was a common request, voiced by 55% of the participants.

4. Kitchen Enhancements: In the kitchen, 64% preferred a double sink, and 50% desired a movable island, which would promote greater convenience and flexibility in the kitchen area.

5. Spacious Living Room: 66% of respondents envisioned a more expansive living room, a versatile communal space for gatherings and family activities.

6. Expansive Porch for Adventure: An overwhelming 77% of participants dreamed of a larger porch that could serve multiple purposes such as storing hunting and camping gear, outdoor clothing, and storage.

7. Dimmable Lights: 86% of respondents expressed a desire for dimmable lights, allowing them to create customizable atmospheres according to their moods and needs. Also preferring white light over yellow or blue.

8. Floating Floors: 81% of participants favored floating floors, as they offer better look and feel more modern than tiles.

9. Better Soundproofing: A significant 77% of respondents prioritized better soundproofing, acknowledging the importance of tranquility and privacy within their homes.
