Kuujjuaq, Quebec (December 5, 2023) – It is with great pride that the Kativik Municipal Housing Bureau, whose mandate is to serve the 14 Inuit communities through the acquisition, administration, and maintenance of residential buildings made available to individuals and families, officially announces its name change. As a result, the organization will now operate under the name of Nunavik Housing Bureau (NHB).

This name change better reflects the territory and the communities it serves. It is also in line with the changes initiated earlier this year with the adoption of a new logo and brand image. "Our new image and now this name change support the vision of the NHB and the commitment of its board of directors to be more representative of the population and the territory. It is definitely a turning point towards the future that prioritizes the improvement and sustainable development of housing in Nunavik," explains Director General Marco Audet. The name change will be gradually implemented over the coming weeks and months.
